LEGO Ideas project pays homage to South Korean architecture
The latest LEGO Ideas project to gain 10,000 supporters takes inspiration from traditional South Korean architecture.
Fan designer The_Limit_ts_kang’s build, Korean Tea House ‘Seon-Bi Won’, wouldn’t look out of place next to 10315 Tranquil Garden. Where the LEGO Icons set pays tribute to Japanese design, the fan-designed model seeks to exemplify Hannok, or traditional South Korean architecture.
Such buildings are distinguished by their dark-bluish roof tiles and green walls, with red and blue stripes for detailing. The set also includes various natural elements, from a pond beneath one of the buildings to flowers and trees dotting the garden.
The interior depicts a traditional tea house, complete with various minifigures to flesh out the build. Korean Tea House ‘Seon-Bi Won’ becomes the 125th project in the current 2025 review round, all now in with a chance of becoming a real LEGO Ideas set.
