LEGO Ideas feels good about Gorillaz – Flying Windmill Island
Ground-breaking British band Gorillaz may be in with a shot of becoming a potential future LEGO Ideas set, thanks to a successful 10K submission.
Time is running out for fan designers hoping to submit their builds to the second LEGO Ideas review of 2025 and potentially reach 10K supporters. There’s less than week to go until the current phase of the process comes to and end on September 1, before the judging panel casts their eyes over what may be a record 150 separate entries.
Also hoping to become a potential future LEGO Ideas set is Gorillaz – Flying Windmill Island, based on the ground-breaking British band and the creation of Shirbler. The model is comprised of roughly 1,800 pieces and draws its inspiration from the group’s 2005 Feel Good Inc. music video and features minifigures of members 2D, Murdoc, Noodle and Russel.
Gorillaz – Flying Windmill Island includes a working spinning windmill and anchor at the back, as well as detailed areas to house the band and a flat base to increase the stability of the LEGO Ideas build.
In addition, the fan designed submission follows in the recent footsteps of Gorillaz having been added to a new season of Fortnite Festival, with LEGO minifigures of the band now available in the game’s Item Shop.
Fans of the virtual group will have to wait until sometime later this year to find out if Gorillaz – Flying Windmill has made it any further in the second LEGO Ideas review of 2025, along with any of the other submissions listed below.
