Wallace & Gromit could be in LEGO Ideas’ future, again

The inventive duo of Wallace & Gromit could be in a LEGO Ideas set as a project based on the Aardman franchise reaches 10K supporters, again.

At least in the UK, Wallace and Gromit are a staple of animation with the Aardman characters dating back to 1989 to their first TV appearance, though their origins come long before that, back in the days of animator Nick Park’s years in University. For the unaware, the duo of Wallace and Gromit are the stars of a series of shorts and feature films animated in stop-motion.

Thanks to Vaicko’s submission on LEGO Ideas, the theme could be home to Wallace & Gromit in the future as a 31st project enters the third 2022 review.

It’s not the first time the animated pair have had a chance at a LEGO Ideas set as in 2020, a model at an entirely different scale was proposed but ultimately rejected. Unlike the figure-centric project, Vaicko’s minifigure-scale creation recreates their house,, anti-pesto van as well as several characters from the franchise.

While the property is evidently still allowed on LEGO Ideas, Wallace & Gromit don’t have a successful history on LEGO Ideas so far, though maybe the third 2022 review is the time for that to change. Here’s a look at every entry in the round so far:
