Coraline-inspired projects are all the rage on LEGO Ideas

The LEGO Ideas third 2023 review continues to grow with a second project inspired by Coraline barely making the cut to be considered for a set.

It's a busy day for the third 2023 LEGO Ideas review as another project has entered the round, this time inspired by Coraline. LordClimentos66749's project proposes a recreation of the Pink Palace Apartments from the stop-motion animated horror film, but it's not the first submission on the platform to request this abode.

Thebigchicken's similar project entered the third 2023 review in October and the round has yet to enter the judging phase at the time of writing. Two projects based on the same concept appearing in the same review round is a rare occurrence, but it happens occassionally.

It likely won't increase the chances of a LEGO Ideas Coraline model, other than showing the judges that there is at least some demand for one. Notably, had it reached 10,000 supporters a couple of days later, it would be in an entirely different review round than the other Coraline project.

For now, these two Pink Palace submissions are up against many other models in the third 2023 review and it seems somewhat unlikely for another project to enter it before next year and another review round begins.
