LEGO Ideas IKEA Store Modular opens its doors to 10K supporters

Yet another fan-made LEGO Ideas build has cracked the 10K mark, with IKEA Store Modular also joining the third 2023 review.

The clock may be ticking for fan-made submissions to make it into the third LEGO Ideas review of 2023, but that’s certainly not going to stop passionate creators from trying. Yesterday saw The Simpsons: Krusty Burger manage to drum up 10,000 supporters, with the FastBrickStudios build earning a slot in the current line-up of 38 designs battling it out to become physical LEGO sets at some point.

Now another inventive model based on a licensed IP has been added to that list in the shape of IKEA Store Modular, the brainchild of brickster0404. The impressive set consists of three separate storeys, all of which are removable and feature a selection of LEGO-based items stocked inside.

A closer look at IKEA Store Modular reveals an area where flat-packed furniture can be collected, a cash register with employee, a restaurant with seats and tables, solar panels on the roof and the iconic blue and yellow IKEA colour scheme throughout.

Whether IKEA Store Modular ultimately has what it takes to be a winning design remains to be seen, but the results of who has managed to make it through the third LEGO Ideas 2023 review are due to be revealed sometime in Janaury.
