LEGO Ideas gets déjà vu with latest project to pass 10,000 supporters

If this latest LEGO Ideas project to make it into the review stage looks familiar, it’s for a good reason – you might have seen it before.

In January 2022, LEGO fan builder marodipietro first reached 10,000 supporters for their LEGO Ideas submission based on the Gilmore Girls House. Unfortunately, the news came through in October of last year that it wasn’t successful in becoming an official LEGO Ideas project. Now, a very similar design has passed the same milestone again, but with a few key differences.

The house is still modular, with opening roof sections so you can interact with the interior. There’s also a similar array of minifigures, including Lorelai, Rory, Dean, Jess, Luke, Sookie, Lane, Emily, and Richard. Lorelai’s iconic jeep has also got an updated design, making it more compact.

marodipietro promises plenty of Easter eggs and references inside, making it the ideal prospective set for any Gilmore Girls fan. It joins 53 other sets all battling it out to become the next LEGO Ideas set. Their fate is now in the hands of the panel, but here’s a reminder of the possible future sets.
