LEGO Ideas is on a roll as yet another set gusts into first 2023 review

LEGO Ideas’ record-breaking review stage sees yet another project pass the 10,000 supporter mark.

Hot on the heels of a Harry Styles-inspired submission, Lantern in the Wind has also passed the 10,000 supporter milestone, pushing the first LEGO Ideas review stage for 2023 even further into the lead as the biggest review period on record. The set features a return to a design from 2008 from fan designer QuangTran1993, showcasing traditional Asian architecture within a peaceful pool.

The transparent water highlights the white lotus flowers and Koi fish living within and on top of the pool, while the red and white building contrasts with the autumnal colours of the tree, built in a style that’s reminiscent of LEGO Icons 10281 Bonsai Tree.

Lantern in the Wind joins 58 other projects in the first LEGO Ideas review of 2023. With nine other sets within 1,000 votes of the all-important milestone, could we see still more sets make it through? For now, here’s a reminder of all the confirmed sets to make it past 10,000 supporters.
