Daft Punk receives second chance at LEGO Ideas set

After a failed attempt at a LEGO Ideas model, Daft Punk has another chance at an official fan-inspired build via a dedicated LEGO Ideas user.

RobotRock‘s contest-winning Daft Punk build, based on the French electronic music duo, is now being proposed for an official LEGO Ideas set. The runner-up for that contest has already been made into an official LEGO Ideas set in the form of 21334 Jazz Quartet.

Now, the aptly-named LEGO Ideas user is hoping to meet the same fate with their Daft Punk Concert creation. The stylish stage comes complete with flashing lights through a clever mechnism that would be easy for the LEGO Ideas team to replicate, as they did in 21335 Motorised Lighthouse.

Despite previous attempts at getting a LEGO Daft Punk set on shelves, the LEGO Ideas community has not yet been successful. Note that the LEGO Group allowed Daft Punk to be recreated as minifigures in the Piece by Piece movie, indicating that the duo appears to be eligible for minifigures and sets alike, but whether they will succeed in a LEGO Ideas review round this time remains to be seen.

For now, RobotRock’s build is taking its spot in the first 2025 LEGO Ideas review round.
