LEGO Ideas K-pop submission proves to be a 10K chart hit
The latest LEGO Ideas submission to reach 10K supporters in the first review of 2025 follows in the footsteps of a long since sold out K-pop set.
The LEGO Group first dipped its toes into the world of K-pop back in 2023 with 21339 BTS Dynamite, based on the South Korean band’s multi-platinum selling single of the same name. That model may be followed by a second K-pop build arriving at some point in the future, if a recent LEGO Ideas 10K submission manages to make it through the first 2025 review.
Twice: Fancy is the creation of SpacePepsi6709 and represents the nine-member group performing as seen in the music video for their smash hit single. The 1,539-piece model features a large stage for the band to be assembled on, plus each member also gets their own mini-scene surrounding the main section, and the set follows a similar expired submission from the designer from 2022.
Also included in Twice: Fancy are minifigures of Nayeon, Jihyo, Momo, Sana, Mina, Chaeyoung, Tzuyu, Dahyun, and Jeongyeon, each of which includes a different face and hair piece to make them stand out.
For those not up on their K-pop knowledge, Twice released Fancy back in 2019, with the music video for the song racking up over 42.1 million views in a single day. The band’s Fancy You EP then went to sell more than 250,000 copies and was eventually certified double platinum.
Whether Twice: Fancy has enough pulling power to go toe-to-toe with the rest of the submissions in the first LEGO Ideas review of 2025 remains to be seen, but we’ll find out when the winners are revealed later this year.
