Big Mouth Billy Bass sings into LEGO Ideas first 2025 review
The iconic and quirky Big Mouth Billy Bass might just be the subject of a future LEGO Ideas set if 10,000 LEGO Ideas users get their way.
Gemmy Industries’ Big Mouth Billy Bass novelty animatronic from 200 has been accurately recreated by Raphy on LEGO Ideas, with 10,000 users throwing their support behind the build and its accurate moving parts. The submission uses 2,000 pieces including many electronic elements with an impressively accurate, but simple range of movement.
This functionality doesn’t influence the shaping and appearance of the animatronic either, with the project proposing the bass itself on a wooden plaque with a button to push and a plaque.
A small built-in stand is proposed but ideally, you’d be hanging the brick-built Big Mouth Billy Bass on a wall and a hanger element from LEGO Art is featured too for this precise purpose.
The singing fish animatronic has been featured across various movies and more places in pop culture since its 2000 debut, but whether it remains too niche has yet to be seen. Here’s every LEGO Ideas project in the first 2025 review so far.
